About the Creative Wales Games Development Fund
This funding programme aims to assist Wales-based businesses to develop video and immersive games projects for commercial release. Between £35,000 to £50,000 of Welsh Government support is available.
As part of your application, you will need to present new creative concepts with a clear proposed project and market entry strategy, which sets out your journey to achieving self-sustaining growth and commercial success in the long term.
Who can apply?
We're looking for applications from businesses that are headquartered in Wales, and currently create digital content for commercial distribution as part of their offering. This can include, limited companies, sole traders and/or partnerships.
This funding programme is intended to encourage fresh, new ideas for development as opposed to providing ongoing finance support, so we're unable to support you if you have accessed development funding more than once before.
Please also not that support is available for video game and immersive tech projects. We are unable to offer funding to board games, educational apps, or tech concepts.
Before applying, please read the criteria set out in our guidance notes carefully to ensure you are eligible to apply for funding.
